Video – First Official Practice of the Season for Members of the Cobourg Dragon Boat Club

In Local

It was the first official day of practice of the season for members of the Cobourg Dragon Boat Club on Monday, May 27, 2025.

Along with the two boats from the Cobourg Dragon Boat Club, the women’s team has been practicing for three weeks getting ready for the Toronto Island International Dragon Boat Festival which is one of the biggest in Canada. The other two boats are a mix of returning paddlers and new paddlers.

Practice will run from now to mid-September, every Monday and Thursday starting at 6:30pm. Paddlers can sign up for festivals throughout the summer, or simply enjoy paddling for fitness and social time.

New paddlers are always welcome to come out.
