Kawartha Lakes Police – Incidents Include Robbery, Break and Enter

Robbery

On May 14th 2025, at 4:14pm police were called to a robbery in progress at a business on Kent Street West in Lindsay. Store employees observed a female suspect concealing items in a large tote bag, and attempting to exit the store. The victim confronted the suspect, who was then tackled and assaulted.

The suspect exited the store and fled on foot with the stolen items. Within minutes responding officers located the suspect in the area and placed her under arrest.

A 33-year-old woman from Lindsay was charged with:

· Robbery with theft
· Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
· Possession of a Schedule I Substance

The stolen items were recovered and the accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Break and Enter

On May 16th 2025 at 1:01am police responded to a glass-break alarm at a Kent Street West phone retailer. Upon arrival officers noted that the front window had been smashed and that entry had been made. While inside suspects took several items before leaving the store running westbound.

Officers searched the area with negative results in locating the suspects. The Forensic Identification Unit processed the scene and the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
