Quinte West OPP – Seeking Public’s Assistance in Fail to Remain

The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a Motor Vehicle collision, where one of the vehicles failed to remain at scene..

On May 13, 2025, Quinte West OPP were dispatched to a fail to remain collision at the intersection of Sidney Street and Hollandale Avenue, Trenton. The investigation determined that at approximately 5:10 p.m. a vehicle described as being an older model Chevrolet Equinox SUV (or similar) was Northbound on Sidney Street when it collided with a blue Nissan. The Gold Equinox, which had significant damage to the right front corner, fled the collision scene and was last observed Eastbound on Hollandale Avenue.

The investigation is ongoing, and any person with information regarding this incident or the person(s) responsible is requested to contact the Ontario Provincial Police at 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222- 8477 (TIPS), where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward.
