Belleville Police – Belleville Man Charged with Sexual Assault, Assault, Theft, Fail to Attend (Name Released)

On April 28, 2025, at 3:15pm, the Belleville Police received a call from security at a north-end business in regards to two males who were observed in the parking lot with what appeared to be a handgun.

Officers arrived on scene within minutes and through the use of security cameras, were able locate and identify one of the suspects.

The second suspect left the area prior to police arrival.

The one male suspect was identified as 47-year-old Paul Laroche-Davidson of Belleville.

Mr. Laroche-Davidson was located and arrested on outstanding warrants held by the Belleville Police.

Mr. Laroche-Davidson was charged with the following criminal charges:
1. Sexual Assault (2 counts)
2. Assault (2 counts)
3. Theft Under $5000 (2 counts)
4. Fail to Attend Court

The Police located the firearm shortly after, discarded in a wooded area.

The firearm turned out to be a replica handgun.

The accused was taken to the police service where he was held in custody and will appear for a bail hearing today, April 29, 2025.
