From April 28 to May 2, 2025, Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) personnel will conduct a training exercise, in the vicinity of Prince Edward County, related to Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response capabilities.

This is an annually scheduled training exercise for CAF personnel and is designed to prepare high-readiness members to deploy around the world in response to a variety of humanitarian and natural disaster scenarios. The exercise will focus on the planning and deployment of an initial assessment team to conduct surveys and liaison with fictional government and non-governmental actors within an artificial scenario.

The training will take place primarily within the area of 8 Wing/Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Trenton and Canadian Forces Detachment (CFD) Mountain View, although residents in Prince Edward County may encounter CAF personnel in military and civilian vehicles throughout the area.

There is no risk to public safety during this training event. No munitions or pyrotechnics will be used.

There will be neither road closures nor disruptions to normal traffic.
