Kawartha Lakes Police Service – OFM Investigating Fire in Lindsay

On February 8, 2025, the Kawartha Lakes Police Service along with the Kawartha Lakes Fire and Rescue Service responded to a structure fire at a residence on Kent Street East in the Town of Lindsay.

At approximately 11:16am emergency services arrived on scene and found an active fire inside a residence which was occupied at the time. Fire personnel quickly located 3 occupants who were evacuated from the building and transported to Ross Memorial Hospital by Kawartha Lakes Paramedic Services and treated for smoke inhalation.

The fire was extinguished with no other damage to neighboring properties or injuries to any members of the public or emergency personnel. The cause and extent of the damage is still under investigation.

The scene was secured and will be held pending further investigation by the Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office.
