Quinte West OPP Auxiliary Member Presented with Two Awards

A member of the Quinte West Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Auxiliary Unit has been named one of the best in the top members in the province.

On Monday, February 3, 2025, Auxiliary Constable Allen MAGEE, was presented with the 2024 OPP Auxiliary Member of the Year Award at the Quinte West Police Services Board Meeting. It recognizes outstanding work in relation to his role. Allen MAGEE accumulated over 200 volunteer hours with the OPP. MAGEE has setup local food drives, took part in organizational needs, helped direct traffic at parades, and took part in ride along with officers at Quinte West OPP Detachment.

Mothers Against Drunk Driving Canada (MADD) Chief Executive Officer Steve SULLIVAN, was also in attendance and presented the Kings Coronation Medal, to Auxiliary Constable MAGEE. The medal is in his recognition of a significant contribution to Canada, a province, territory, region or community of Canada. Allen has been involved with MADD since 2010, dedicating hundreds of hours to educating the public about the dangers of impaired driving and is currently the chapters president.

The OPP Auxiliary Unit is looking for residents of Quinte West and who want to make a difference in the community, assisting the detachment with such things as special events and crime prevention initiatives. This is also an excellent opportunity for those interested in a policing career, get first-hand experience working in a busy policing environment.
