Cobourg Police Service Enhanced Downtown Patrols

In Police Blotter

In response to community feedback raised during a town hall meeting, the Cobourg Police Service (CPS) increased targeted patrols in downtown Cobourg in November 2024.

From January 1 to January 14, 2025, uniform officers, special constables, and auxiliary members completed 21 additional downtown foot patrols during key hours in the morning and evening. In addition, officers completed 45 proactive property checks.

These patrols focused on proactively addressing community safety concerns and crime. Enhanced downtown patrols will continue as resources permit.
