Roseneath Man Charged with Uttering Threats

A 21-year-old Roseneath man has been arrested following an investigation into online threats.

On Monday, January 20, 2025, police began an investigation into reported online threats made over social media.

As a result of the investigation, a 21-year-old Roseneath man was arrested and charged with Uttering Threats – Cause Death or Bodily Harm. The accused was released with a future court date.

 

Cobourg Man Charged with Assault Peace Officer, Fail to Comply

A 32-year-old Cobourg man was charged after police called to a disturbance.

On Monday, January 20, 2025, at approximately 10:00 p.m., police were called to the area of Depalma Drive and Strathy Road for a report of an individual refusing to leave a property and causing a disturbance.

Police arrived on scene and directed the male to leave the property. He refused to leave. Upon being arrested under the Trespass to Property Act, the male became assaultive and kicked an officer, causing minor injury.

As a result, the 32-year-old Cobourg man was charged with Fail to leave premises when directed, Assault Peace Officer, Possession of a Schedule I Substance contrary, and Fail to Comply with Probation.

The accused was held in custody pending a Show Cause hearing.
