Abandoned Home Destroyed by Fire in Harwood

A abandoned home in Hamilton Township was destroyed by fire on Sunday, January 12, 2025.

Hamilton Township firefighters were dispatched at approximately 5 a.m. to the home located on Rice Lake Scenic Drive, just west of Harwood.

When firefighters arrived the home was engulfed in flames and it was strictly a defensive attack.

Fire officials say there was no hydro to the home and have stated the fire is suspicious.

The home was destroyed in the blaze and there were no injuries.
