It wasn’t just a fox on the run, it was a fox on the roof on Thursday, December 26, 2024.

Cobourg resident, Rob Gray was driving along Elgin Street just west of William Street around 8:30 a.m. when he spotted what looked like a fox in the area of Victoria Place Plaza.

Pulling into the parking area, Gray spotted the fox by one of the stores.

When he drove around and went through the drive-thru of Kawartha Dairy the fox had jumped onto a dumpster and onto the rooftop of the business.

“I thought it was weird seeing a fox up on a rooftop.”

A few minutes later Gray went around the building and the fox had got down on its own and disappeared.
