Breaking News – OPP Execute Search Warrant at Cobourg Home

Heavily armed members of the Ontario Provincial Police executed a search warrant at a home in Cobourg late Sunday evening.

One person was taken into custody after the warrant was executed by members of the OPP TRU team (Tactics and Rescue Unit) along with ERT (Emergency Response Team) at a duplex on John Street near James Street at around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday.

A police armoured vehicle was also at the scene.

Area roads near the residence including James Street, John Street were closed until the residence was searched.

Today’s Northumberland counted approximately 20 people that had been in the residence at the time but weren’t arrested or charged.

OPP will be releasing more information on Monday.
