Northumberland OPP – Fatal ATV Collision in Trent Hills

Members of the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a fatal single all-terrain vehicle (ATV) collision in the Municipality of Trent Hills.

On October 25, 2024, at approximately 3:00 p.m., Northumberland OPP and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to a private property in the area of 6th Line West for the incident. The lone rider, a 65-year-old female from Campbellford, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

OPP Technical Collision Investigation members will be attending, and the Office of Chief Coroner for Ontario has been notified.

This investigation is on-going, and updates will be provided when available.

Riders are reminded to take all precautions when operating an off-road vehicle. Know your limits, stay within them, and always wear an approved well-fitted helmet with chinstrap securely fastened.
