City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service – Two Teenagers Injured in Shooting

On Friday October 11th, 2024 at approximately 1:00am the Kawartha Lakes Police Service responded to a report of a shooting at an address on Albert Street south in Lindsay. Upon arrival officers located a 17-year-old Oshawa male suffering from a gunshot wound. A second 18-year-old male from Oshawa was located also suffering from a gunshot wound. Both victims were treated by EMS prior to being transported to Ross Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers thoroughly searched the area, but suspects were not located.

The connection between the suspects and the victim is not fully clear, however it is believed that the incident is related to the drug subculture and there is no immediate threat to public safety.
