Video – Salmon Have Safe Passage Through Downtown Port Hope For Now

The salmon have a clear path up the Ganaraska River through Port Hope until October 14, 2024.

The Ministry of Natural Resources announced late last week, that the Ganaraska River through Port Hope is designated a “Provincial Fish Sanctuary” from September 1, to October 14 this year.

A number of people on Sunday, September 1, 2024 enjoyed watching the fish make their way up the river.
