Cobourg Police – Hastings Man Charged with Assault (No Name Released)

A 29-year-old Hastings man is facing assault charges after police responded to a 911 call.

On Sunday, June 2, 2024, at 3:40 am, police were dispatched to the northwest part of Cobourg for an unknown 911 call. Upon arrival, officers were flagged down by a female who advised that her cell phone had been stolen and she had been assaulted.

As a result of the investigation, the 29-year-old Hastings man was charged with assault and breach of probation.

The male was released on an undertaking with a future court date of July 17, 2024.
