City of Belleville Seeking Proposals for Original Art Piece

In City Hall

The City of Belleville is now seeking proposals for an original art piece to be gifted as mementos to distinguished guests. Each year numerous dignitaries, international guests, and corporate representatives visit Belleville, and the City wants the help of local artists in creating a unique piece of art to serve as a warm reminder of their visit.

Submissions can be in any medium of art including paintings, sculptures, graphic art, fiber art, printmaking, digital art, mixed media, photography, etc. Each piece, through artistic interpretation and inspiration, must capture and reflect Belleville. Only one submission per artist is allowed and it must be an original piece of work and airport/travel-friendly.

The deadline for submissions is Wednesday, April 10 at 2 p.m. For a full list of rules and requirements and to make a submission visit www.Belleville.ca/ArtProposal.

For any further questions, please reach out to ecdev@belleville.ca.

“We are always looking for ways to celebrate local culture,” said Elisha Purchase, Investment Attraction Officer for the City of Belleville. “This project is a great opportunity to recognize the talent across our region and engage the artistic community while capturing the uniqueness of our beautiful city.”
