Belleville Police Service – Stolen Vehicle That Wasn’t Stolen

UPDATE – Reported Stolen Vehicle – Located

On the 18th of March, the owner of a Grey Ford Ranger reported the vehicle stolen from their residence in Plainfield. Police began investigating the theft of the vehicle.
On the 19th of March, the owner contacted the investigating officer advising that they had made an honest mistake and forgot that the vehicle was left at a friend’s place and was not actually stolen. The owner sincerely apologized for the inconvenience and time the officer spent on the matter.
Police have concluded their investigation into the matter.

Stolen Vehicle
On the 18th of March at 3:00pm, Belleville Police received a call regarding a stolen vehicle which had been stolen from a residence in Plainfield. The owner advised that the vehicle was stolen from their driveway sometime between 10:00am and 3:00pm. The stolen vehicle is a grey 2009 Ford Ranger with Ontario licence plate XM8 754. Anyone with information regarding the stolen vehicle is asked to contact Cst. Christopher at 613-966-0882 ext. 4245 or at dchristopher@bellevilleps.ca.
