Video – Soggy End To Ski Season at Brimacombe – For Some

Approximately 50 people, some as young as eight-years-old took part in the annual Brimacombe Ski Club’s Puddle Jump on Sunday, March 17, 2024 in Durham Region.

The annual event is held every to end the season.

This year, was a challenging one for most area ski club’s with the weather.

Brimacombe pumped a record of approximately 34 million gallons of water onto the ski hills this year to try and keep a good base.  The previous record was 30 million gallons of water.

On Sunday, while a number of people made it across the 20-metre “puddle,” a number of people took the plunge into “Lake Brimacombe.”

The weather for the day was like the season, a bit of sun, cloud and snow.
