Suspected Overdose Death in Port Hope

A coroner’s investigation is taking place after a suspected overdose death in Port Hope on Tuesday, March 12, 2024.

At approximately 9 a.m. emergency services were dispatched to 160 Peter Street at the former Greenwood Towers, now known as The Tower in Port Hope.

A person was in medical distress and pronounced deceased at the scene.

Police say there is no concern to public safety at this time.
