Northumberland OPP – Possible Shot/s Fired in Campbellford

The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are advising there is no concern for public safety after a report of possible gun shots at a local gas station in Campbellford.

On February 6, 2024, just prior to 3:30 p.m., the Northumberland Detachment received information that the rear window of a vehicle had been damaged, and there was concern that it was possibly a gun shot.

An investigation is currently underway to determine the cause of the damage to the vehicle. At this time, investigators do not believe a firearm was used.

The Northumberland OPP is continuing with the investigation, under the direction of the Northumberland OPP Crime Unit and the Forensic Identification Services.
