Cobourg Police Cobourg Male Charged with Assault with Weapon, Uttering Death Threats and Mischief (No Name Released)

On Monday, January 1st, 2024, POLICE responded to a residential address in the Elgin Street East area for a weapons call. POLICE investigation determined that during an altercation, one male had chased another male with a kitchen knife.

Through POLICE investigation, it was also determined that the male threatened to kill the other male and damaged a wall of the residence. POLICE located and arrested the accused, and he was charged with assault with a weapon, uttering death threats and mischief.

The accused was held for a bail hearing later that same day.
