Cobourg Launches New Online Campground Reservation System for 2024

In City Hall

Campground bookings will be available five months in advance of date of stay
The Town of Cobourg Community Services Division is pleased to announce a new booking system is in place for the 2024 season at the Victoria Park Campground.

The new system provides a modernized approach to booking, where visitors can select their preferred campsite and pay online via credit card. It is also more equitable for visitors, as previously staff manually approved each booking and had to go through a waiting list.

Starting on Monday, January 8, 2024, at 9 a.m. users will be able to go online to the new platform and create their online accounts via Cobourg.ca/campground. On Thursday, January
18, 2024, at 9 a.m., the booking site will be open for transactions.

How to Book a Campsite:

Once on the website, users will have to follow the following steps:

• Create an account with an email address and a password.

o Note, you can register an account starting January 8 however, booking will not be available until January 18 at 9 a.m.

• Once logged in, select “Make a Reservation” from the main menu.

• Ensure your arrival and departure dates are correct and click “Check Availability.”

• Using the digital map, click on your campsite of choice, then click “Add to Cart.”

o Sites that show up green on the map are available, yellow are pending (meaning they are currently in another user’s cart), and red is unavailable.

• Visit your Cart to checkout and input your credit card or Google Pay information.

• Click “Pay” to complete your order. After processing, a confirmation will be sent to your email.

The Victoria Park Campground will open on May 18, 2024, for the summer season. Reservations are accepted up to 5 months (plus seven days) in advance of your arrival date.

For example, on February 1, users can book dates up until July 7, 2024 (Which is July 1 plus seven days). Therefore, when reservations become available on January 18, 2024, users can book dates from May 18 (Opening Day) up until June 25 but will not have access to any dates later in the summer.

To ensure fair access to the campground, a maximum of seven days can be reserved at one time. Additional dates can be booked throughout the summer, however, must be reserved
through separate transactions.

Check in and check out time is 11 a.m. for all sites. There is a reservation fee of $13.56 including tax for each booking, which is non-refundable.
