The Cobourg Police Service (CPS) bi-weekly update provides an overview of break and enters, theft from motor vehicles, mischief, and other crime trends in the Town of Cobourg over two
weeks.

The operational report offers a breakdown of calls for service, year to year comparable on crime trends, and highlights calls of interest. From November 20 to December 3, 2023, CPS responded to 490 calls for service.
• Break and enter: None during this timeframe
• Theft from vehicles: None during this timeframe
• Distraction Thefts: One (1), Strathy Road
• Mischief: Six (6), Elgin Street West (2), Densmore Road, Spring Street, Queen Street, Darcy Street
• Fraud: Four (4), Stolen wallets resulted in charges to accounts, attempted extortion, internet banking fraud, employment insurance fraud.
• Property Theft: Five (5), Swayne Street, King Street East (2), College Street, Elgin Street West
• One (1) warrant arrest was made for Warrant in the first.
