Durham Police – Three Youths Charged After GO Train Assault

Three female youth are facing charges following an investigation into an assault aboard a Lakeshore East GO Train.
The incident occurred on Saturday, September 12, 2026, as passengers travelled eastbound from Toronto. Three victims reported being harassed by a group of five teenage girls who were allegedly drinking alcohol, vaping and behaving in a disorderly manner on the train.
The confrontation escalated after one passenger asked the group to be respectful of others. The female youth responded with verbal threats and harassment. During the incident, one youth allegedly physically assaulted a female victim.
The group later exited the train at Whitby GO Station, where they reportedly threw a bottle of alcohol toward the victims before leaving the area.
No injuries have been reported to police.
Video evidence and witness statements assisted investigators in identifying the suspects.
As a result of the investigation, three female youth were taken into custody without incident.
At the time of this incident, the 15-year-old female and 16-year-old female were on conditions to not communicate with one-another.

A 13-year-old, female from Oshawa has been charged with: Causing a Disturbance and Disobeying a Court Order.
 
A 15-year-old, female from Oshawa has been charged with: Failing to Comply with a Probation Order.
 
A 16-year-old, female from Oshawa has been charged with: Causing a Disturbance, Assault, Three counts of Assault with a Weapon and two counts of Failing to Comply with a Probation Order.
All three females were released on an Undertaking.
