Cameco Holds Mock Emergency at the Port Hope Facility

Members of the Port Hope Police along with Cobourg Police, Port Hope Fire and Emergency Services, Northumberland County Paramedics and Durham Police Tactical Team held a emergency preparedness exercise at Cameco (Port Hope Conversion Facility) in Port Hope on Friday, October 27, 2023.

The incident involved different a number of workers at the facility and emergency services dealing with lockdown/active threat situation.
