NHH Auxiliary Rolls Toward the Century Mark

The Northumberland Hills Hospital Auxiliary reports success in its recent recruitment campaign to expand its membership, President and Chief Auxiliary Officer Susan Walsh said at October’s board meeting.

Their efforts have resulted in 32 applications to date, 22 of them already matched with priority areas such as the inquiry desk at the main entrance, emergency department, palliative care, cancer and supportive care, women’s health, day surgery, Integrated Stroke Unit, Restorative/Rehab Hydration and their retail outlets (the Little Treasure Shop and Petticoat Lane).

Their fundraising also continues. Their recent donation of $191,841 fulfills their pledge to donate $1-million for the hospital’s Clinical Information System.

And more excitement lies ahead, as they approach their 200th anniversary later this year.

NHH Foundation Chair Gavin Ivory shared good news from his organization as well,

Tickets to Galalicious are off to a great start, he reported, with more than 300 already been sold, and spaces at some individual restaurants completely sold out.

Planning is on for Light Up A Life, which typically raises $250,000.

And younger supporters got on board this summer with their lemonade-stand fundraiser, which brought in $6,000.
