Cobourg Police – Nineteen-Year-Old Charged With Armed Robbery, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime (Name Released)

A 19-year-old male is facing charges for Robbery and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.

On October 3rd, 2023, Police received a weapons call to a business in the northwest area of Cobourg.

Through investigation, police learned that a male had just threatened an employee with a knife after stealing items and being confronted. Staff recognized the male from previous dealings and a short time later the male was located and arrested by police. The male was found to be in possession of all the stolen property taken from the business and a large knife was located and seized as evidence.

As a result of the police investigation, 19-year-old Cobourg resident Malachi WARNER was charged with armed robbery and possession of property obtained by crime as well as Fail to Comply with an Undertaking. WARNER was held for a bail hearing later today
