Person Struck by Vehicle in Cobourg

One person was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle at a business on Wednesday, June 28, 2023.

At approximately 1 p.m. emergency services responded to a business on Elgin Street East in Cobourg.

A person who had an e-bike was on the sidewalk in the parking lot when they were struck by a vehicle that lurched forward and struck the person.

Emergency services arrived on scene and stabilized the person until paramedics arrived.

The person was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The elderly driver was shaken from the incident, but did not require medial treatment.

As the incident happened on private property there are no charges.
