Cornerstone Announces Extended Legacy Gifts Program

In Local

Cornerstone Family Violence Prevention Centre is pleased to announce the launch of the Long-Term Funds program as a part of the Legacy Gifts Program.

The Long-Term Funds or Endowed Gifts program is the first of its kind for Cornerstone. The expansion of Cornerstone’s Legacy Gifts program and the addition of long-term funds will ensure the reliability and sustainability in funding for the future of the organization.

Endowment funds are important for not-for-profit organizations, as they provide a dependable source of income for the charity. They also provide an outlet to recognize, and honour loved
ones and individuals in a way that has an enduring impact. The Endowment program will allow Cornerstone to continue to improve and provide essential services to our community now and
into the future.

Cornerstone’s Endowment program is launching with a lead gift from the Bulger Family in memory of their parents, Adeline and Joseph Bulger. With this generous gift, Cornerstone and
the Bulgers are creating a new chapter in Cornerstone’s history and working together to support the Cornerstone of tomorrow.

“We would like to take a moment to thank the Bulger family and all their support and contributions to Cornerstone throughout the years”, commented Nancy Johnston, Executive Director of Cornerstone. “Adeline and Joseph Bulger’s passion for contributing to our community is continued by their children, who wish to create a legacy fund in their name. The work we do at Cornerstone would not be possible without the help and support from our community, our Board of Directors, and families like the Bulgers, thank you,” Johnston adds.

Cornerstone encourages the community to learn more about our programs and consider contributing to our new Endowment program that will help support Cornerstone today and in the
future.

Established in 1983, Cornerstone Family Violence Prevention Centre (Cornerstone) is an accredited violence against women agency working to end gender-based violence by providing
accessible, compassionate, and best practice modeled programs and services inclusive of shelter, counselling, housing support, and prevention through a support system that inspires
hope, creates safety, and fosters resilience.
