Cobourg Public Library Summer Reading Club Kick-Off Party

In Upcoming Events

Get ready for a summer of excitement, exploration, and endless imagination as the Cobourg Public Library invites children aged 0-12 years to embark on an unforgettable reading adventure at the TD Summer Reading Club Kick-Off Party!

Mark your calendars for Friday, June 30th, as we kick off the festivities at two exciting locations:

· Alice D. Behan Bewdley Branch: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
· Cobourg Public Library: 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

The TD Summer Reading Club Kick-Off Party promises a whirlwind of games, activities, and pure joy, providing the perfect platform for children to learn more about this remarkable program. Join us and discover how the TD Summer Reading Club will transform your child’s summer!

At the event, children will receive their very own reading kits, complete with a reading log, stickers, and other delightful surprises. These kits will ignite their passion for reading and keep them engaged throughout the entire summer. Our dedicated staff and volunteers will be on hand to guide children through the sign-up process, ensuring they are ready to embark on this literary journey.

But that’s not all! The TD Summer Reading Club program officially launches on Monday, July 3rd, and continues until Saturday, August 26th. During this time, children can participate in a series of exciting activities, reading challenges, and events that will captivate their imaginations, build their literacy skills, and help prevent summer learning loss.

And there’s an extra incentive to keep the adventure going until the very end! By participating in the TD Summer Reading Club, children automatically enter the end-of-summer prize draw, where they could win fabulous rewards that will make their summer truly unforgettable.

Can’t make it to the Kick-Off Party? No problem! Starting Monday, June 26th, children can sign up for the TD Summer Reading Club at any library branch during regular library hours. Our dedicated team will be there to assist and ensure that no child misses out on this incredible opportunity to make literacy fun and rewarding this summer.

“The TD Summer Reading Club is a great way to explore your Cobourg, Bewdley, and Gore’s Landing libraries. We aim for youth to learn new things, meet new friends, reach their reading goals, and help prevent summer learning loss. Sign up and make literacy fun for your child this summer!” said Rachel Purdy, Youth Services Specialist at Cobourg Public Library.

So, parents and guardians, join us in nurturing a love for reading, fostering friendships, and opening doors to new worlds of imagination and knowledge. Let’s make this summer a season of boundless adventure!
