UPDATE – Cobourg Police Service Community Meeting New Location

In Local, Police Blotter

The meeting location has changed to the Lions Club Community Centre

The Community Meeting hosted by Cobourg Police Service will take place at the Lions Club Community Centre on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at 6:00 p.m.

After the initial notice of the community meeting, we quickly realized we would be over capacity and wanted to ensure no one was turned away. The change in location (to MacCoubrey Funeral Home) was to ensure we could accommodate the anticipated increased number of attendees. Wanting to keep the meeting in the downtown area, MacCoubrey’s Reception Hall seemed a natural fit. With higher room capacity, onsite parking, and facilities, we hoped this would be a good location and easy to re-direct anyone who showed up to the Citizen Forum. Thank you to MacCoubrey’s, who generously offered their space.

We have heard from community members that this location may be a barrier for some attending. We apologize for the misjudgment in booking a location that may be triggering, and we thank the community for their feedback.

The meeting has been relocated to the Lions Club Community Centre – 157 Elgin Street East, Cobourg.

Meeting Details:

Date: Tuesday, April 4, 2023

NEW Location: Lions Club Community Centre – 157 Elgin Street East, Cobourg
