Cobourg Cougars Return Home Friday Facing Elimination

In Hockey
The Cobourg Cougars will have to claw their way out of a big hole if they are to advance in the Ontario Junior Hockey League playoffs.
Wednesday night the Cougars were doubled up 4-2 by the Trenton Golden Hawks, which took a commanding 3-0 series lead in the opening round best-of-seven showdown.
Trenton jumped out to a three-goal lead in the first period and led 3-1 after the opening frame and 4-1 after two periods in front of 800 spectators at the Duncan McDonald Memorial Gardens.
Tyler Hunt and Trevor Hoskin scored power-play goals for the Cougars.
Game 4 is set for Friday night, 8 p.m., at the Cobourg Community Centre.
