In Editor Choice, Police Blotter

Police are being tight lipped about two search warrants that were executed in Cobourg on Wednesday, February 22, 2023.

At around 6 a.m. a search warrant was executed at a Marion Street address, and shortly after another was executed at a King Street West address.

It’s believed two people were taken into custody.

A number of OPP were at each residence and it’s believed the Tactics Rescue Unit (TRU) was also involved.

A police officer on scene said the project was being lead by the Belleville Police Service.

Today’s Northumberland contacted Belleville Police Service who said a release would be issued likely before noon as a number of warrants were taking place across the province.
