Winter Parking Bylaw Reminder

Please note, as per the winter parking restrictions in bylaw 030-2022 any cars left on the designated streets between the hours of 2 a.m. until 7 a.m. will be ticketed and/or towed.
The bylaw states no parking, at any time, on all cul-de-sacs and wide corners during the winter season (November 1, 2022, to March 31, 2023). For more information and a list of affected cul-de-sacs and wide corners refer to Bylaw Number 030-2022, Schedule PP.

The bylaw also states no person shall park a motor vehicle that obstructs the removal of snow from the streets, which is applicable to all streets and times. If a vehicle is found with windrow
of snow around it and no tire tracks leading to/from the parking space, officers may ticket and/or tow.

The schedule for Saturday, December 17 starting at 12 a.m. includes removing snow on the following streets:
• King Street from College Street to Ball Street
• Division Street from Chapel Street to the Esplanade
• Covert Street
• Second Street
• Third Street from King Street to Albert Street
• Albert Street from Third Street to First Street

The Town of Cobourg appreciates the efforts of its residents in parking off-street to allow for safe and efficient snow removal operations during the winter season. It is especially important
that collector and arterial roads (major roads) remain clear for safe passage.

Snow Removal Reminders
Please also note that it is dangerous and a contravention under the Ontario Highway Traffic to push or blow snow from your property back onto the street.
