OPP Drug Trafficking Investigation Culminates with Six Warrants Being Executed

(TRENT HILLS, ON) – A lengthy police investigation into drug trafficking in Trent Hills culminated with the execution of 6 multi-jurisdictional warrants that led to the arrest of 6 individuals, the seizure of drugs, stolen property, motor vehicles, ammunition, and over $40,000 in cash.

On Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at approximately 6:00 a.m., as a result of a project that focused on drug trafficking in Trent Hills, led by the Peterborough/Northumberland Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), in conjunction with the Biker Enforcement Unit (BEU), Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB), East Region CSCU, Orillia CSCU, City of Kawartha Lakes CSCU, Nottawasaga CSCU, the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) and the Canine Unit (K9), and the Peterborough City Police Service, six simultaneous search warrants were executed at residential addresses in the Municipality of Trent Hills, the Township of Asphodel-Norwood, and within Peterborough County.

As a result of the warrants, investigators seized over $40,000 in cash, a quantity of cocaine, methamphetamine, fentanyl, hydromorphone, Percocet pills, two motor vehicles, two motorcycles, and ammunition.

As a result of the investigation police charged the following individuals:

 

Stephen DUNKLEY (37) of Trent Hills

  • Possession of Firea rm or Ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order
  • Possession of prohibited device or ammunition
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking- Cocaine

The accused was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in the Town of Cobourg on December 14, 2022.

 

Gordon GRAHAM (61) of Trent Hills

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Other Drugs
  • Failure to comply with release order – other than to attend court (x3)

The accused was held for a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in the Town of Cobourg on November 2, 2022.

 

Trevor JONES (46) of Trent Hills

  • Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 – outside Canada
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000 – in Canada

The accused was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in the Town of Cobourg on December 14, 2022.

 

Kyle LANGFORD (35) of Trent Hills

  • Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition
  • Operation While Prohibited under the Criminal Code
  • Unauthoriz ed Possession of Weapon
  • Possession of Firearm or Ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order
  • Possession of Prohibited device or ammunition for Dangerous Purpose

The accused was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in the Town of Cobourg on December 14, 2022.

 

Ronald UNTALAN (48) of Trent Hills

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000 – in Canada
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of a Sched ule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Opioid (other than heroin)

 

The accused attended a bail hearing on November 2, 2022, was released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on November 30, 2022.

Cody WHITLEY (31) of Trent Hills

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000 – in Canada
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Opioid (other than heroin)
  • Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition

The accused was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in the Town of Cobourg on December 14, 2022.

The investigation remains ongoing. Investigators are asking anyone with information regarding this incident to call their nearest OPP detachment at 1-888-310-1122.
