Garage Destroyed By Fire in Hamilton Township

Smoke was visible for a number of kilometres after a garage was destroyed by fire on Friday morning in Hamilton Township.

At approximately 7 a.m. Hamilton Township Fire Department were dispatched to a structure fire on Ontario Street, just north of Highway 401.

When  crews arrived on scene, the garage was engulfed in flames behind the home.

A number of tools and an ATV were inside the garage at the time of the fire.

There were no injuries and the cause of the fire is unknown at this time.

Ontario Street in the care of the fire was closed for approximately two hours because of fire apparatus on the road.
