Parkinson Canada Superwalk Takes Place In Cobourg

In Charity, Local

The 32nd annual Northumberland/Cobourg Parkinson Superwalk took place in Victoria Park on Saturday, September 10, 2022 shortly before 11 a.m.

Following a two-year absence due to COVID, the walk took place under sunny skies with people walking either a 1.5 kilometer or 5 kilometer route.

Caroline Thornton, a volunteer with Parkinson Canada, said it was a big change to have a actual event after a two-year COVID absence.

There were approximately 45 participants in Cobourg that raised approximately $30,000 and nationally it’s estimated the Superwalk raised $1,000,000.
