Salmon Run in Port Hope Well Underway in the Ganaraska River

In Local

It’s safe to say that the 2022 salmon run has started on the Ganaraska River in Port Hope.

On Wednesday, August 17, 2022 a number of salmon were already up to Corbett’s dam.

Over the next several weeks, the number of fish will multiply in the river, along with the anglers and spectators.

A number of fish carcasses were also along the riverbanks.
