Cobourg Police – Cobourg Man Charged with Mischief (No Name Released)

On April 29, 2022, at 11:20 a.m., police were called to the area of Burnham Street and Elizabeth Street in response to a report of two flags cut down from a flagpole.

As a result of police investigation, an 18-year-old Cobourg man was arrested and charged with the following offences:

1. Mischief under $5,000, contrary to section 430(1)(a) of the Criminal Code

2. Theft Under $5,000, contrary to section 334(b) of the Criminal Code

3. Possession of Property obtained by Crime Under $5,000, contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code

The man was released on an undertaking with a court date scheduled for June 15, 2022.
