Cobourg Police – Port Hope Man Charged with Impaired (No Name Released)

A Port Hope man has been charged with impaired after police conducted a traffic stop in the Town of Cobourg.

On Sunday, March 20, 2022, at 2:06 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Division Street at Elgin Street West in the Town of Cobourg.

As a result of the subsequent police investigation, a 35-year-old Port Hope man was arrested and charged with:

1. Impaired operation of a conveyance – blood alcohol concentration over 80 contrary to Section 320.14(1)(b) of the criminal code

The man was later released on an undertaking scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on April 6, 2022.
