Cobourg Police – Man Arrested on Warrant in Connection with Ongoing Thefts from Vehicles

On the evening of Wednesday, December 15, police on patrol downtown Cobourg observed a man known to be wanted on a warrant held by the Cobourg Police Service. The warrant was in relation to a theft from vehicle incident in the Town of Cobourg in August 2021.

As a result of the subsequent police investigation, 43-year-old Mark HENDRY of Cobourg was arrested and charged with the following:

1. Theft under $5000 contrary to section 334(b) of the Criminal Code

2. Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 contrary to section 355(b) of the Criminal Code

Hendry was released from police custody on an appearance notice with a future court date.
