Port Hope Police – Cobourg Driver Charged with Impaired Driving

On Saturday October 30th, 2021, while on general, police located a motor vehicle in the area of Ontario Street, and located the driver unconscious at the wheel. Police were able to wake the male up, and could detect a strong odor of alcohol.

Through investigation a 51-year-old Cobourg resident Shane YEW WOON was charged with the following:

Fail or refusal to comply with demand contrary to section 320.15(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada.

YEW WOON was released on an Appearance Notice with a court date, and a 90 day driver’s license suspension, and 7 day vehicle impound.
