Some Anglers Not Getting The Message Salmon Season Closed Along Ganny

In Local, Police Blotter

Some people aren’t getting the message that salmon season is closed along the Ganaraska River in Port Hope.

On Saturday, October 2, 2021 at least 15 people were charged with fishing out of season along the Ganaraska River.

People charged were from Ottawa to Brampton.

A number of people were also warned.

The fine is $240 and the season closed on September 30, 2021.

Police advise to check the rules before you drop your line in the water as it could save you money in the long run.
