Heavy Rains Bring On The Salmon in Local Waterways

With the heavy rain overnight on Tuesday and into Wednesday morning, it generated a large about of salmon into both Cobourg Creek and the Ganaraska River in Port Hope.

Even though the water was very murky on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 it wasn’t hard finding where the salmon in the river south of Walton Street in Port Hope.

Most of the fish caught were returned back to the water.

And as the clock struck 8 p.m. all of the anglers had left following the bylaw stating no fishing from 8 p.m. to 6 p.m.
