Person Struck By Vehicle In Alderville Airlifted to Toronto Trauma Centre

One person was airlifted to a Toronto trauma centre after being struck by a vehicle in Alderville.

At approximately 12:50 p.m. on Thursday, July 1, 2021 emergency services including Northumberland OPP, Alnwick/Haldimand Township Fire Department and Northumberland County Paramedics responded to the 2nd Line at Marsden Lane for a vehicle that went partially off the road and struck a person who was trimming grass.

It appears the vehicle was heading west on the 2nd Line and failed to negotiate a corner striking a person who was trimming the grass.

Members of the OPP Technical Collision Investigators examined the scene for several hours taking measurements of the scene.

It’s unknown the condition of the person who was struck.
