No Injuries After Large Tree Limb Blocks King Street East in Cobourg

In Local

A large tree limb broke off temporarily blocking King Street east, just east of Abbott Boulevard in Cobourg on Thursday, June 10, 2021.

Shortly before 6 p.m. without notice the branch snapped off the tree near the former Brookside School. Luckily no one was along the sidewalk at the time and no vehicles were passing by.

Matthew Fry just happened to be one of the first vehicles on scene and using a chainsaw cut up the limb, quickly opening up the road again for vehicles.

Public Works were also called to the scene.
