Durham Police – Delivery Driver Charged with Sexual Assault

A 34-year-old delivery driver from Scarborough has been charged with sexual assault.

On Monday, May 17, 2021, at approximately 1:55 p.m., members from West Division were called to a residence in the area of Magill Drive and Sullivan Drive, in Ajax, for the report of a delivery driver who had sexually assaulted a female. The 17-year-old victim was in front of her residence when she was approached by the suspect who sexually assaulted her. The suspect left the area in a white van.

The suspect was located in the area and arrested by officers. The DRPS Special Victims Unit assisted in the investigation.

Gustavo OLMEDO-HERNANDEZ, age 34 of Scarborough is charged with: Sexual Assault and Forcible Confinement. He was held for a bail hearing.
