Toronto Area Man Charged With Stunt Driving

A Toronto area man learned the hard way about Stunt Driving Legislation.

At approximately 7 p.m. Northumberland OPP stopped a vehicle driving 154 kph on Highway 401 westbound, just west of County Road 45 at Cobourg on Saturday, May 15, 2021.

The 2012 BMW was impounded for seven days, the man’s driver’s license was suspended for seven days and the man was given a date to appear in Provincial Court.

The minimum fine for Stunt Driving (driving in excess of 50 kph of the posted speed limit) is $2,000.
