The driver of a van was taken to hospital with what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries after a three-vehicle collision in Cobourg on Friday, May 14, 2021.

At approximately 4:20 p.m. emergency services responded to King Street West, just west of William Street in Cobourg for a three-vehicle collision.

It appears the driver of a man may have suffered a medical episode while heading eastbound on King Street West.

The van went into oncoming lanes, mounted a curb, struck a tree and slammed head-on into a parked SUV.

The SUV was pushed back approximately seven-metres into another parked vehicle.

At least two of the vehicles suffered major damage as a result of the collision.

Investigating is continuing, but it’s believed the driver suffered a medical episode.
